On March 2 2006 Cpl Paul Davis paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving in Afghanistan. The monument behind Bridgewater Jr High was placed in 2014 and since that date we have gathered to honour Cpl Paul Davis. Today a small ceremony was held and a new yellow ribbon was placed on the tree next to the monument. The ceremony saw members of the military, Branch 24 Bridgewater Legion, Bridgewater Police Service, teachers and students, as they braved cold weather to show James Parker Davis and Sharon Davis, that the sacrifice made by Cpl Davis would never be forgotten.
